Yip Tsz Chung Rips Through Crazy Pineapple Field
The action-packed Crazy Pineapple has wrapped up after drawing 58 entries, building a lively TWD 330,000 prize pool and delivering one of the most entertaining formats of the series.
For those unfamiliar, Crazy Pineapple adds a twist to traditional Texas Hold’em. Players are dealt three hole cards instead of two, but must discard one after the flop. This dynamic creates bigger pots, wider ranges, and constant post-flop pressure. Early streets are filled with creative possibilities, while the forced discard adds another layer of strategy—timing, board texture reading, and hand selection become even more critical. The result is a format known for action, unpredictability, and dramatic swings.
When the final cards are dealt, it is ðŸ‡ðŸ‡° Yip Tsz Chung who stands alone at the end. Yip expertly navigates the volatile structure, making disciplined decisions in high-pressure spots and maintaining control as the field narrows. His ability to balance aggression with patience proves decisive in the late stages, earning him TWD 102,000 for the victory.
Finishing second is 🇰🇷 Kang Heegwan, who also demonstrates strong adaptability in the fast-paced format. Kang collects TWD 61,500 after a commendable run through a field where momentum can shift in a single hand.
Another thrilling installment of Crazy Pineapple is in the books—once again proving why this high-variance, strategy-heavy variant remains a fan favorite at Players Series.
