In a quick heads up battle lasting just 13 hands, 🇰🇷 Kiyoung Kim defeats 🇹🇼 Justin Chu to capture the PS Championship Super High Roller title and pocket TWD 1,156,000. Kim outlasts a field of 48 entries, adding to a first-ever Players Series win to his list of deep runs.

The PS Championship High Roller final day opens with 13 players jumping in before the close of late registration, bringing the total field to 48 entries. This pushes the prize pool to TWD 4,147,200, with the top eight players earning a share.

🇰🇷 Dohyeok Kim begins the day as chip leader, while eventual champion 🇰🇷 Kiyoung Kim sits in the middle of the pack before a dramatic triple knockout propels him to the top of the counts.

By the time the final table is set, five Koreans were in the lineup. At the helm is Kiyoung Kim, he  holds nearly a thirty big blind advantage over his closest rival, 🇭🇰 Hon Cheong Lee. With the bubble at hand, 🇰🇷 Choi Hun Tae shifts into high gear with suited connectors, but the aggression backfires as his stack quickly spirals downward to exit on the bubble.

From there, the chip lead exchanges hands multiple times. 🇹🇼 Justin Chu and 🇰🇷 Sung Jin Yun each spend time at the top before 🇳🇱 Michel Molenaar claims the lead following the elimination of 🇰🇷 Lee Jong Kwan (8th). Chu returns to the throne after knocking out 🇰🇷 Kim Hyo Sung (7th) and later Yun (6th) with a runner runner flush burning a flopped straight.

Quietly applying steady pressure is Lee who grinds into the lead until Chu wrestles it back after eliminating 🇰🇷 Yohwan Lim (5th) who shoves into his pocket aces.

At four-handed, Kim slips to just ten big blinds before he wins a showdown against Molenaar. The loss leaves Molenaar on fumes with a single big blind, and he soon exits in 4th place.

Three-handed play then belongs to Kim, who wins nearly every clash against Lee before finally sealing Lee’s fate with a dominating ace to clean him out.

With Kim and Chu nearly even in stacks, they strike a heads up deal guaranteeing each TWD 1,000,000, leaving TWD 156,000 and the trophy still in play for the winner. On the 13th heads up hand, Kim closes the door, turning a higher pair to defeat Chu and claim the PS Championship Super High Roller title.

Justin Chu

Kiyoung Kim limps in and Justin Chu checks on the big blind then checks the flop .

Kim slides out 220,000 which Chu answers with a raise to 650,000. Kim throws it back with a shove, and Chu calls for his tournament life.

Chu is ahead until the turn giving Kim the lead. The river  seals Kim’s victory with two pair as Chu bows out in 2nd place.

Justin Chu raises 360,000 on the button and Kiyoung Kim defends. When the flop comes   Kim bets 250,000 and takes it down easy with Chu folding.

Justin Chu raises 250,000 and Kiyoung Kim tops up. They check it to the turn where Kim fires a bet 250,000 for his flush draw and Chu folds.

Kiyoung Kim limps in with and big blind Justin Chu defends .

They proceed to check it to the turn where Kim bets 250,000 and Chu check-calls.

On the river , Kim bets 400,000, Chu calls then mucks.

Kiyoung Kim and Justin Chu have reached a deal. Both players will receive TWD 1,000,000 and will play for the remaining TWD 156,000.

The blinds will also increase at half pace of 20 minutes.

Hon Cheong Lee

Hon Cheong Lee is down to 700,000 and goes all in with . Justin Chu wakes up with better .

No changes take place on a board with Chu further improving to top pair and the flush to oust Lee in 3rd place.

Button Justin Chu raises 250,000 and Kiyoung Kim defends on the big blind.

At the flop , Chu continues for 200,000 only to be challenged with a raise to 500,000, Chu gives it up.

Hon Cheong Lee goes all in for 680,000 and big blind Justin Chu makes the call with .

The board helps Lee, dropping plenty of spades to double up with the flush.

Justin Chu makes it 250,000 from the button and big blind Kiyoung Kim defends.  More chips go in on the flop with another 250,000 bet from Chu for his aces that Kim check-calls with top pair

On the turn , with three clubs on the board, Chu bets 600,000 and Kim check-calls once again to buy the river card which opens.

With four clubs on the board, Kim jumps out with a bet of 1,300,000 and takes down the big pot with Chu releasing his hand.

Small blind Justin Chu limps in then calls Hon Cheong Lee’s   25o,000 raise to bring a flop of .

Chu checks his straight, Lee bets 150,000 for his open-ended, Chu answers with a 350,000 raise, and Lee flats.

The turn gives Chu added outs for the flush and continues to control with a bet of 300,000 and Lee calls. When the finds the river, Chu moves all in which earns a quick fold from Lee.

Hon Cheong Lee raises 350,000  at small blind and Kiyoung Kim defends with an ace in the hole.

At the flop of , Lee continues for 200,000, Kim tests with a raise to 400,000, Lee calls for the turn .

Lee passes the betting to Kim who bets 650,000. Lee calls to go to fifth street for the last round of betting. The river comes and Lee checks. Kim quickly checks back and celebrates having spiked the ace to win the pot.

Out of the small blind, Hon Cheong Lee jams into short stacked Kiyoung Kim   who calls for his tournament life.

Kim is ahead while Lee has live cards that can send him packing. The board runs out   for Kim to secure a reload.

Michel Molenaar

From under the gun, Hon Cheong Lee raises 200,000 from, button Kiyoung Kim and small blind Justin Chu both call while Michel Molenaar is forced all in on the big blind.

Everyone checks it to the river  . Chu puts out a bet of 100,000 that gets the rest to fold and after the showdown, Molenaar exits in 4th place.

Kiyoung Kim goes all in for his last 600,000 with   and is up against Michel Molenaar with and a covering stack.

The board favors Kim, with a spread landing for top pair. He doubles up as Molenaar plunges to 1 big blind.

From under the gun, Hon Cheong Lee and big blind Michel Molenaar defends to go hunting at the flop which comes .

With his top pair to Lee continues for 150,000, Molenaar check-raises to 400,000, Lee shoves, inducing a snap-fold from Molenaar.

Small blind Kiyoung Ki limps in and Justin Chu checks on the big blind. The flop comes and it’s a wet one with Kim connecting for top pair and Chu lands the nuts.

Kim continues the aggression with a bet of 160,000 and Chu calls. The turn brings more chips to the middle with Kim firing 265,000 which Chu flats again. The river pairs the board.

After a third barrel from Kim for 350,000, Chu answers with a shove, putting Kim all in who tanks. With 800,000 behind, Kim folds to preserve it.

Kiyoung Kim raises 175,000 from under the gun and only Justin Chu gives him action for a flop of .

With bottom pair, Kim continues for 175,000 and Chu calls with second pair. Both players then check the turn for a free river .  Kim resumes for 300,000, Chu calls, and wins the pot with his higher pair.

Yohwan Lim

Sitting at first to act, Justin Chu raises 160,000, button Hon Cheong Lee , small blind Kiyoung Kim makes it a three-way, then big blind Yohwan Lim squeezes for all of his chips of around 1,400,000.

Action back on Chu who doesn’t have anymore time extensions and calls while the rest get out of the way.

Lim is in trouble and with no improvement on the board , Lim finishes in 5th place.

On the button, Kiyoung Kim   raises the minimum and Justin Chu defends his big blind. More chips land on the flop    with Kim c-betting 175,000 that’s Chu check-calls.

The comes on the turn and again Chu checks, Kim checks his straight and the finds the river.

Kim’s trap works as Chu bets 80,000. Kim answers with a 650,000 raise. Chu tanks, using up his last three time extensions then calls. Kim reveals the straight and zooms back to the top of the leaderboard.

Sung Jin Yun

Button player Justin Chu raises 120,000, small blind Sung Jin Yun  three-bets to 300,000, Chu flats and the flop comes .

Sung lands the nuts and continues for 150,000, Chu calls with second pair, the turn is . Again Sung fires, betting 325,000, and with the nut flush draw, Chu calls.

The river is the money card for Chu as Sung goes all in and Chu snap-calls only to see the bad news.

At cutoff, Justin Chu min-raises and big blind Hon Cheong Lee  defends. Chu continues for 105,000 on a flop of and after Lee check-calls, Chu fires again on the turn  for 375,000.

Lee flats and they go to the last street where the lands on the river. Lee checks again and Chu slows down with a check back. Lee takes down the pot.

Yohwan Lim kicks it off with a min-raise, Justin Chu  calls from hijack, then cutoff Sung Jin Yun wakes up with and jams 1,500,000. Everyone folds.

Short stacked Kim Hyo Sung jams his last 545,000 and is put on the ropes by lone caller at hijack Justin Chu  . Kim is behind though has a chance with live cards.

No help comes on the board to end Kim’s run in 7th place.

From early position, Hon Cheong Lee   raises to 100,000 and big blind Sung Jin Yun defends.

No action on the flop with both players checking then Lee sends out a 175,000 delayed c-bet on the turn . Sung check-calls for his draw which misses on the river .

Sung opens with a check once more, Lee bets 450,000, Sung folds.

Lee Jong Kwon

Action packed hand preflop opens with under the gun Justin Chu raising to 100,000, hijack Lee Jong Kwan  three-bets to 350,000, Michel Molenaar at cutoff four-sizes up Lee’s stack and bet 650,000, Chu folds, and Lee commits the rest behind.

Seeing the rockets, Lee is in very bad shape and needs a miracle. The board does not help out running out to finish in 8th place.

Sung Jin Yun raises 100,000 on the button and the blinds call – small blind Lee Jong Kwan  and big blind Michel Molenaar .

The flop is checked to Sung who continues for 130,000, Lee tanks then folds after burning through a time extension. Action on Molenaar who also debates then check-raises to 350,000. Sung gives it up.

Sung Jin Yun raises 100,000 from under the gun, then action folds around to the big blind Kim Hyo Sung who three-bets 275,000. Sung tank-calls and they take it to the flop.

When the spread comes , Kim checks, Sung bets 145,000, and Kim tank-folds.

From under the gun, Lee Jong Kwan makes it 80,000 to go, several spots over Kiyoung Kim three-bets to 230,000. Sitting at cutoff, Justin Chu looks down at and jams, Lee and Kim fold.

Action checks to the small blind Yohwan Lim , he limps in. Big blind Justin Chu  checks for a cheap look at the flop which they both check to the turn .

Lim checks again. No more checking for Chu who bets the minimum which reels in Lim. The river comes giving Lim the straight which he checks. Chu fires 275,000 for his trips, Lim calls and collects as Chu says “nice hand.”

Sung Jin Yun   min-raises from middle position and only small blind Kiyoung Kim gives him action.

Both players check it down through the river and Sung picks it up with his ace.

Kiyoung Kim opens 100,000 on the button and Justin Chu calls on the big blind. Both players check it to the turn where Chu leads for 100,000 only to be challenged with a 300,000 raise from Kim.

Chu answers with a shove for a total of 880,000, and Kim doesn’t hesitate to drop in the one-chip call.

When the cards are revealed, Chu needs only to fade a spade and does so as the river comes . Chu doubles up and takes the lead.

Kiyoung Kim has been controlling the table to distance himself further from the pack. In one of the hands, he is up against Yohwan Lim. With on hand, Kim raises to 120,000 out of the small blind seat and Lim  defends on the big blind.

At the flop , Kim continues for 65,000 and Lim calls. Kim slows down to a check on the turn  , and Lim continues to copy his action. On the river , Kim fires 275,000 and takes down the pot.

Choi Hun Tae moves all in for his last 340,000 and Lee Jon Kwan calls with a covering stack.

Both players get a piece of the flop with Lee far ahead. The turn pairs the board and Choi is down to just two outs. The river isn’t one of them to bust on the bubble.

Choi Hun Tae from hijack, Sung Jin Yun three-bets 200,000, Choi folds and is down to 340,000.

Choi Hun Tae opens the minimum from early position, Sung Jin Yun   three bets to 170,000, Choi jams for a total of 1,370,000, and Sung calls for his tournament life after burning through a time extension.

Sung connects on the flop while Choi is drawing for a straight flush. The turn  gives Choi more outs. The river  is not one of them, instead it further improves Sung to get a full reload.

Card are now flying at the PS Championship High Roller. It is bubble time with only 8 players guaranteed a piece of the TWD 4,147,200 prize pool.

Action folds to the small blind Michel Molenaar who shoves on short stacked Seungmook Jung who only has 265,000 behind. Jung commits it and when they flip ’em over, Jung is ahead while Molenaar has live cards.

It starts off with a clean flop until the turn drops a   for Molenaar to improve. Jung gets up and with the river, he speeds off in 10th place.

Still trying to bring up his short stack,. Gi Boum Kim is all in for 285,000 and Sung Jin Yun calls to put him on the ropes.

The board runs low to end Kim’s run just three spots from the money.

Level 17 is underway with blinds of 15K-30K ante 30K. Only 11 players remain out of a field of 48 entries. The final 8 players are guaranteed a piece of the TWD 4,147,200 prize pool with the top prize at TWD 1,320,000.

Following the bad beat, Dae Gyu Hwang goes all in for his last 310,000 holding , Lee Jong Kwon has his number and calls with   .

Hwang is dominated both in kicker and chips. The deck doesn’t have any treats for him as it runs to lose to Lee again.

Dae Gyu Hwang opens 50,000 then calls Lee Jong Kwan’s shove of 280,000. When the flip them over, Hwang’s pocket pair is ahead.

The window shines some luck on Lee with a flop landing for a set. The turn  gives Hwang hope to overtake with the flush but it is a black card on the river with the  arriving.

Kris Segers opens 50,000 and down the orbit big blind Hon Cheong Lee defends. When the flop comes , the players go at it with Segers c-betting 65,000, Lee check-raising all in, and Segers risking it all.

Lee has  top pair, Segers with overcards. The turn and river  are no help to Segers to pack up several spot before the money.

Hijack Dae Gyu Hwang and big blind Choi Hun Tae are at the turn with 280,000 in the pot. Hwang bets 60,000 into it and Choi check-calls. The river is checked by both.

Choi turns over bottom pair, Hwang earns the pot with   top pair.

Gi Boum Kim started the new level with just 35,000 and is now up to 235,000 after two winning showdowns. Both times he shows pocket sixes that holds against Seungmook Jung’s ace-two suited and Kim Hyo Sung’s eight-four.

Short stacked Dohyeok Kim will not be in the final table this time having fallen to Justin Chu on a flip. Kim is all in with   then fails to connect on the board to fall to Chu’s .

Fabian Rolli is all in and is dominated by Kiyoung Kim in every way. Rolli has , Kim has , a queen lands on the turn but not enough to crack aces with the  on the river.

Just before the redraw to 16 players, Sung Jin Yun doubles up through Dohyeok Kim with winning the flop against  on a board of .

Moved to a new table and seat, Sung proceeds to thin the field by one, eliminating Jeong Jae Bong who shoves with that fails to connect on the board for his  to stand.

John Juanda puts it all out front with and Yohwan Lim calls with an inferior kicker  . Looking sweet for Juanda at the flop turns sour on the turn  for a pair to Lim that holds after the river.

Back to back eliminations at Table 25 with Yohwan Lim giving Hogyun Kang the boot. Kang’s   bricks against Lim’s with an ace even showing up on the turn.

Immediately after, Seungmook Jung eliminates a player with winning the flip against   on a board of . Jung spikes a set on the turn to regain the lead over pair of eights.

Level 15 is underway with blinds of 10K-20K ante 20K. Only 19 players remain out of a field of 48 entries. The final 8 players are guaranteed a piece of the TWD 4,147,200 prize pool with the top prize at TWD 1,320,000.

Kiyoung Kim enters consecutive hands with the first seeing the pot swell to 80,000 by the time the board shows . His challenger Choi Hun Tae opens for 35,000, Kim raises to 87,000, Choi tank-folds and is relieved after Kim reveals  set.

Next hand, action folds to Kim on the small blind, he raises 50,000, big blind Justin Chu (Chi Jen Chu) jams for 362,000, Kim tanks then open-folds . This gets a shock from everyone at the table including Chu.

Kim asks, “you beat me?”

Chu says “no” while still surprised and shows .

Under the gun Jeong Jae Bong opens 32,000 and gets calls from button player Dohyeok Kim and big blind Sung Jin Yun. Jeong continues for 30,000 on a flop of and only Kim calls.

The turn   slows down Jeong to a check while Kim takes control for 34,000. Jeong calls and they go one more round on the river .

Jeong returns to betting with a 135,000 bet, Kim tanks then can’t give up his hand and calls. It’s the right decision as Jeong flips open bluff for Kim to rake it in with .

Gi Boum Kim opens at cutoff and gets the blinds John Juanda and Jaegeol Cho to join him to the next betting stage. When the flop comes , action heats up with a c-bet from Kim for 45,000, that Cho check-raises to 90,000 after Juanda folds.

Back on Kim, he unloads it all for a total of 340,000 and Cho gives it up.

The prize pool is in! With 48 entries at TWD 100,000 each, the PS Championship Super High Roller prize pool is TWD 4,147,200 with the top 8 players guaranteed a payout.

Level 14 is underway with blinds of 8K-16K ante 16. Only 21 players remain out of a total entry field of 48 runners.

Dennis Kim (Youhyun Kim) opens 25,000 out of the under the gun seat, two spots over Fabian Rolli three-bets 60,000. Kim fires back a 225,000 four-bets, then Rolli jams. Kim snap-calls with not much more to top up.

Upon showing, Rolli is in trouble with his kicker behind a point.

The flop changes the order with Rolli jumping ahead on a lucky catch. The turn  and river   ensure Rolli the win to double through on a bad beat.

Small blind Gi Boum Kim limp is then calls big blind Hogyun Kang’s 28,000 raise to build a pot of 68,000 before the flop comes .

Kim check-calls a 15,000 c-bet then check-calls again on the turn for 30,000. One more check from Kim on the river   and Kang opts to check back. Kim shows top pair to take down the pot.

Four-way all in with Kiyoung Kim holding and is up against Kang Ki Seok with   ,  Shunping Wang who dominates with   , and another player with  .

Kim has the biggest stack and is on his way to a sweep when the flop comes down   for a two-outer catch. The turn   and river don’t produce anything significant for a triple bust.

Out of the big blind seat, Chi Jen Chu min-raises, everyone then folds to the big blind Kang Ki Seok who tops up. Chu continues for 25,000 at the flop   and Kang check-calls  to head to the turn .

Chu barrels again laying out 60,000 and Kang pays it to finish the runout with the on the river. Another open-check from Kang brings a third barrel from Chu, announcing all in for 110,000. Kang tanks for two time extensions then calls.

Chu has overpair and doubles up to Kang’s  top pair.
