Day 10 at the Players Series Championship III Taipei was headlined by the festival’s marquee attraction, the PS Championship Main Event, as players packed the tournament floor for the final opportunity to advance to the next stage and move one step closer to the title.
Running alongside the feature event, several side tournaments crowned new champions. Hong Kong dominated the day’s winner’s circle, with three players capturing PS hardware. Those highlights and more are just below.
⭐ PS Championship Main Event: Flight E-F

The final two flights of the PS Championship Main Event ignited the tournament floor, as railbirds and latecomers made one last push to secure a spot in Day 2 and keep their title hopes alive. Flight E drew the largest overall turnout, with 246 entries vying for a place in the next stage.
Among those taking part was defending champion 🇹🇼 Wang Shunping however his title defense came to an early end as he was no longer in the field by the time the bubble approached.
After a prolonged bubble round, the tension finally broke in Level 18 with 🇹🇼 Kuo-Kai Ma delivering the knockout with dominating
on a dramatic board that flopped two diamonds.
Out of the 37 survivors, Malaysia’s 🇲🇾 Ming Ken Thoo bagged a fortress of 924,000 chips (92 bb) to seize the top spot in the Day 2 leaderboard.

Over at Flight F, registration closed at 112 entries. Among them was 🇰🇷 Seongsu Kong who was eliminated on the bubble by 🇹🇼 Chi-Ying Lin with flush burning

With all five flights completed, the PS Championship Main Event pulled in a combined 749 entries. 115 players advanced to Day 2 and are guaranteed a share of the TWD 22,245,300 prize pool. They return on Sunday, March 8 with cards in the air at 11AM.
🏆 First Victory for You Sungmoon at Superstack Freezeout

A few days after finishing runner-up in the Midweek Superstack, 🇰🇷 You Sungmoon returned determined to go one step further and did just that at the Superstack Freezeout. With a total turnout of 77 players, all banking on their single bullet, the title came down between You and 🇯🇵 Shinichiro Kano.
After striking an even deal, where each one locked up TWD 181,000 out of the TWD 731,900 prize pool, they went head-to-head for the trophy. In the end, You came out on top to record his first-ever live poker tournament victory.

🏆Kim Wah Chiu Takes Down The High Roller Big Bounty

Just days after a runner-up finish at the Mystery Bounty, the hard-hitting 🇸🇬 Kim Wah Chiufound redemption at the High Roller Big Bounty, outlasting the 25 head hunter field. This was Chiu’s first ever Players Series title which also secured him the coveted gold trophy, the champion’s payout of TWD 250,000 out of the TWD 550,000 prize pool, and a stack of bounties each worth TWD 18,000.

🏆Another Trophy For Elfin Lin At Women Of Steel

Another two-time series champion with 🇹🇼 Hsiao Chin Lin aka Elfin Lin crowned at the Women Of Steel event. Lin outlasted the 14 entry field to win a pink PS trophy which she can place side by side the blue tiffany trophy that she won at the Queens Of Heads-Up.
Lin has been running hot at the ladies events. She also placed 2nd at the Poker Divas. For her victory, Lin earned the TWD 31,900 out of the TWD 64,400 prize pool.

🏆Anita Chan Wins Mixed NLH/PLO Double Board Bomb Pot

One of the most affordable events in the schedule was the Mixed NLH/PLO Double Board Bomb Pot with buy-in at just TWD 5,000. This drew 20 runners for a prize pool of TWD 83,600.
At the finish, 🇭🇰 Anita Chan aka Chi Yan Chan defeated 🇭🇰 Man Hin Cheung at heads up to deny him a third series title. For her victory, Chan won TWD 41,800 and her first ever Players Series trophy.

🏆 Hyosung Kim Champions The High Roller Turbo

🇰🇷 Hyosung Kim emerged a champion at the High Roller Turbo, overcoming a star-studded field of 25 entries to claim his first ever Players Series trophy along with the lion’s share payout worth TWD 319,800 of the TWD 712,800 prize pool.

🏆 Victory For Tsz Chung Yip At the Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha

At the first two Players Series Championship editions, 🇭🇰 Tsz Chung Yip cashed at multiple events and brought home a couple of Players Series hardware. He just added to that collection after outlasting the 40 entry field of the Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha. Yip defeated fellow PLO enthusiast, 🇭🇰 Shun Hei Lee, at heads up for a victory payout of TWD 86,800 out of the TWD 341,800 prize pool.

🏆 Sixth Time’s The Charm For Kuen Shing So At 8-Max Hyper Turbo

After an impressive five final table finishes in this series, 🇭🇰 Kuen Shing So finally reached the finish line to capture the elusive PS trophy at the 8-Max Hyper Turbo. So got the best of the 50-entry field, denying 🇹🇼 Yusung Lee a second title at heads up. In addition to the trophy, So claimed the largest cut of the TWD 208,000 prize pool for a payout of TWD 70,800.

The PS Championship III Taipei may be down to its final three days, running through March 10 at the Asia Poker Arena, however for those that missed the mark at the PS Championship Main Event, there are still plenty of chances to be a champion or multi-champion with several marquee and side events yet to grace the floor.
