Sunday at the Players Series Championship III Taipei offered a full slate of events that kept the tables buzzing all day. Topping the headlines was the Natural8 Open Main Event with the field now down to the final nine players.

β Natural8 Open Main Event Establishes Final 9 Players

Day 2 of the Natural8 Open Main Event began with 86 players returning out of the 565 total entries, each one guaranteed a piece of the bloated TWD 8,054,700 prize pool. At 21 remaining, it became the ππ° Hon Leung Ip show.
After picking up a massive pot off Kun Sen Liao’s failed bluff, Ip surged into the lead and never let go. He dismantled the field, eliminating π°π· Young Jong Lee (14th), π°π· Kwon Tae Young (13th), and π°π· Hyeung Il Lee (11th) to bag over four million in chips (100 big blinds)
After Kristof Segers eliminated ππ° Mai Ko Ho in 10th place the final 9 players was established.

The PS Championship Main Event kicked off today with the first of six entry flights, drawing 64 entries aiming to qualify for the money and a share of the TWD 20,000,000 guarantee. Among the ten players who secured their spots was π°π· Yohwan Lim, rebounding quickly after finishing 23rd in the Natural8 Open Main Event.
Leading the flight was π°π· Kim Kiyoung, who bagged a commanding 832,000, well ahead of his closest rival, πΉπΌ Wei Kai Lin, who collected a solid 506,000. Blinds closed at 2,000-5000 ante 5,000.

Cheers were heard across the room as πΉπ Parit Ovadhana gave Thailand another title at the HOPS Sunday Superstack. As his first international live poker tournament victory, Ovadhana earned his first PS trophy.
The event was the hottest ticket on the day’s menu, drawing a crowd of 236 entries, each one putting up the TWD 10,000 buy-in to create a TWD 2,016,400 prize pool. Out of 37 players that made the money, Ovadhana claimed the top prize of TWD 436,000.

π Shu Ju Chen and Shu Fang Chen Keep It Tight At The Femme Alliance

A unique addition to the schedule was The Femme Alliance (Women’s Teams Event), attracting 23 entries for a prize pool TWD 68,100. Keeping their tandem tight were πΉπΌ Shu Ju Chen and πΉπΌ Shu Fang Chen to claim the victory, their own individual pink trophies, and TWD 25,300.
Impressively, this was Shu Fang Chen’s second pink trophy this series with a victory at opening day’s Ladies First Women’s Event.

Another multi-event winner at the series! πΉπΌ Taowei Chang bounced back from a 25th place finish in the Natural8 Open Main Event to dominate the PLO 4/5/6 (Dealerβs Choice). He outlasted a 20-entry field to claim TWD 85,900 from the TWD 170,900 prize pool.
