The top story on Day 11 of the Players Series Championship III Taipei was the Main Event which resumed with 115 players returning from a field of 749 entries. After ten levels of play, it was cut down to just 14 players.

While many familiar names remained in the hunt, it was a series newcomer that planted his flag on the leader’s throne. That headline, along with the rest of the day’s highlights, is featured below.


⭐️ PS Championship Main Event: Day 2

Day 2 of the PS Championship Main Event opened with 115 players returning from a field of 749 entries, each one guaranteed a share of the TWD 22,245,300 prize pool. After ten levels of play, only 14 were left led by series newcomer, 🇦🇺 Loy Abdo.

Abdo amassed a majority of his chips on a cooler that knocked out two players simultaneously. Close behind was 🇵🇭 David Erquiaga, who also spent time at the top before bagging a healthy 92 big blinds.

Rounding out the top three was 🇸🇬 Shixiang Khoo, who entered Day 2 second in chips and maintained top tier rank for most of the day. As for Day 2 entering chip leader 🇲🇾 Ming Ken Thoo, he slipped down the rankings but still bagged a respectable 24 big blinds heading into the final day.

⭐️ Monster Stack: Day 1 Recap

The crowd-favorite Monster Stack lived up to expectations, attracting 130 entries at TWD 16,500 each to build a TWD 1,853,300 prize pool. The money flowed starting at 20th place then Day 1 play concluded once the field was down to the final nine players.

🇰🇷 Won Jong Lee emerged as the clear chip leader and the only player to bag a seven-figure stack, finishing with 1,820,000. This was nearly double of his closest rival, 🇸🇬 Beng Hong Ker, who ended the day with 935,000.

The race to the title continues on Monday, March 9 starting at 11AM. Each one is now guaranteed TWD 54,000 while up top is TWD 478,000 reserved for the eventual champion.

⭐️ High Roller Megastack: Day 1

A new addition to the schedule, the High Roller Megastack was an instant attraction with 64 turning up for Day 1 to utterly crush the guarantee which now sits well over TWD 2.5 Million.

Registration is still open until the start of Day 2 which takes place on Monday, March 9 at 11AM. That means, the prize pool has the potential to reach TWD 3 Million. For players interested in jumping in, buy-in is TWD 50,000 with a starting stack of 150,000 (25 big blinds).

Returning to action from Day 1 are 29 survivors led by 🇰🇷 Gyeong Beom Kim with a mighty stack of 1,136,000. To emphasize the enormity, it was equivalent to 227 big blinds at the close of day.

🏆 Yunying Jheng Wins First PS Trophy at International Women’s Day Special

In celebration of International Women’s Day, the special Women’s Day event waived the tournament fee for all participants and also awarded a complimentary ticket to Event #89: Mystery Queens Bounty (worth NT$7,500) to each of the top three finishers.

A total of 19 took part, generating a TWD 109,500 prize pool, which was distributed among the top three places. Emerging victorious was 🇹🇼 Yunying Jheng, who clinched her first-ever Players Series title. She earned the lion’s share of the prize pool, taking home TWD 55,000 for the win.

🏆 Tsz Hin Chan Survives The Bubble Rush

One of the more thrilling side events was the Bubble Rush which drew 28 entries. 🇭🇰 Tsz Hin Chan claimed the title, besting fellow 🇭🇰 Tsz Hin Chow at heads up for his career second Players Series side event victory.

Among the five players who shaved portions of the TWD 201,000 prize pool, it was Chan who walked away with the largest share, padding his wallet an extra TWD 81,000.

🏆 Another Trophy For Ray Chang at Big-O

Visiting from California, 🇺🇸 Ray Chang is savoring every moment of his Players Series experience, having now secured a second trophy. His first came at the PLO Double Board nearly a week ago, and the latest at the day’s Big‑O event.

As one of the most affordable tournaments on the schedule, it drew 36 entries, creating a prize pool of TWD 140,000. Chang claimed the top prize, turning his TWD 4,500 buy-in into a rewarding TWD 53,000 payday.

🏆 Shengfu Yu Takes Down the 6-Max Turbo

The 6-Max Turbo was one hot ticket in the evening lineup, attracting 68 to the tables for a prize pool of TWD 369,200, that was shared among the top 11 finishers. At the final stage, it was 🇹🇼 Shengfu Yu who went the distance, defeating 🇯🇵 Takahiro Sui at heads up to lock up his first ever Players Series win. He walked away with the trophy and the TWD 113,800 top prize.

🏆 Yih Chia Shaw Wins All-In Or Fold (3 Bullets)

A familiar face on the Players Series circuit, 🇹🇼 Yih Chia Shaw finally captured a long-awaited trophy after an impressive 14 previous cashes. Shaw topped a 48-entry field in the All-In-Or-Fold (3 Bullets) event, defeating 🇸🇬 Warrick Wee at heads up to secure the title and TWD 67,000 in prize money.
